AJo hand
Villain is 42/7/2.7 over 50 hands.
Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 2 folds, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, 1 fold, BB calls, CO calls. Flop: (9.40 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, CO bets, Hero raises, BB folds, CO calls. Turn: (6.70 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) CO checks, Hero checks. River: (6.70 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) CO checks, Hero checks. Final Pot: 6.70 BB I'm thinking I should have probably bet the turn. If I get called on a turn bet, do I bet the river or check behind? Against someone who only raises 7% of hands, should I have even 3 bet this PF or just called? Thanks. |

Re: AJo hand
With a PFR of 7% I have to think that his most likely holdings here are QQ AA and AK. He doesnt have TT or KK with the way this went. JJ is a small possibility.
Assuming 7% is indicative of his playing style: I dont 3bet this. With a PFR of 7%, his hand beats yours. |

Re: AJo hand
I think 3-betting preflop is fine. A 7% positionaware PFR will still open with a resonable amount of hands from the CO, that you are ahead of, and 50 hands ain't that big sample in regards to raising standards.
I would have bet the turn and taken a free showdown UI. If he calls the turn, he likely has some kind of pair, that he won't fold or a draw, so you are not very likely to get called by a worse hand on the river. |
