Default 55 Bubble Hand

UTG has made that 2BB raise before once or twice. I have been incredibly passive compared to normal as at least 1 of the stacks to my left has been pretty short the whole time and with them definitly calling and me wanting them around I've been chillin. The SB is real tight fold into the money type.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (4 handed) converter

UTG (t3120)
Hero (t3495)
SB (t1945)
BB (t1440)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG Raises to 800, Hero ???

Even though 84 off is a pretty solid hand 4 handed, i will let this one go. Fold.

Just fold...you have nothing to prove, and a lot to lose.

fine i admit it i pushed. got knocked down to 400 when he flipped over JJ. Then came back to win the thing. bwhahah. But still I think he lays this down almost enough to make it a push. But the sentiment here is obviously different so maybe this is a big leak in my game. thanks.

Yes.

UTG does not want to tangle with the big stack, and we have the big stack AND the image to take this pot from him.
It's also likely UTG doesn't have a great deal.

If Gigabet posted this and said he went all in and UTG folded, what would you think of the play?

That all being said, I probably fold it.

Lori

Thanks Lorinda. That answer makes me feel like at least I'm not nuts and looking back I guess I probably should have folded.

Probably not terrible, but it would improve if you had say 78 and had UTG covered by 1000.

Gigabet would probably have more FE in this situation with the higher stakes.
