Several Reasons:
Not enough chips to play effectively post flop.
Blinds are a significant % of your stack size, and stealing them will increase your stack and effective expected value on later hands.
You risk being blinded out by not taking gambles such as this with semi-strong hands.

Google for Sit&Go Power tools, download the free version and read the tutorial, then concider buying it if you can spare the $. Great stuff.

But basically to summarise, it's a program that'll let you evaluate whether going allin preflop is right or not. It calculates your chances of winning vs. ranges of hands that other people will call you with. That's simplfying it a bit, but the tutorial will help you out there.

No it doesn't. You mean, 'I ran some calling ranges in SNGPT and I feel this push is solid based on my analysis.'

SNGPT 'says' nothing in terms of correct/incorrect play....it just crunches #s based on an ICM equity model and opponent specific information that you plug in. It just so happens that in this scenario you can't really find any non-ridiculous calling ranges that make the push -EV....
