Shorthanded with a maniac.
Villain will cap preflop with damn near anything, bluff-checkraises, and all in all is as agro as it gets. Checkraising him is fun.
PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (3 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Button raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, Button caps, Hero calls. Flop: (8.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero... First, I take it K9o isn't too sketchy against someone w/ 50% PFR? Second, what's our postflop plan against someone like this? I don't have a lot of experience with someone who fancies himself to be this tricky. |

Re: Shorthanded with a maniac.
it's like a calling station in reverse. check/call to the river and hope you're hit more than he. It's gotta be +EV.

Re: Shorthanded with a maniac.
The way I see it you have two options:
1. Fold 2. Showdown If you choose option 2 I don't see any value in doing anything other than getting there as cheaply as possible, especially if you don't make a pair. |

Re: Shorthanded with a maniac.
Sounds like a plan. I made my backdoor flush this hand though so it didn't apply as much here, heh. Villain showed A4o.
