Default Full heads up HH... Any advice?

Yes, this is a semi bad beat post but I also hope to get something out of it. Any hands you play differently? Party 22.

for the record, i did stick this in replayer. it's either too late at night for me to detect the sarcasm, or 'semi bad beat' is a stretch. i guess i could have stopped after the 1st hand - where i first noted the stacks, the ending was hardly a surprise one. any rate, we've gotten this far, so 'no' there are no hands i play differently (with the exception of maybe leading the rag-paired board near the end).

This is a key hand. While the majority of posters here will call this, I'd fold in an effort to change the momentum (sp). When you play this hand, you need to recognize the effect of losing here. He is not yet back in this, but if you call and lose, he is. Even at this level of blinds, you can fold this and the next hand and still be in control. After that, you will need to start rolling the dice however.

I agree that folding the 67 is an option, and you may want to take it for reasons stated above. It's probably still a call, though.

The mistake that really stands out to me in these is that you never bluffed. How big of a calling station was villain? I play a lot of HU SnGs, and there are very few opponents against whom I'd fold all three of the 49o, 23o, and 83o hands. It's hard to know which to push and which not to without actually being there, but I think the 23o's a pretty easy push after you've shown a willingness to fold, and it's pretty fun to push the 83o after the flop (although before the flop is certainly an option too). I think I probably fold the 49o because villain may not recognize that we're no longer in all-in every hand mode.

Unless this guy was an uber calling station, this is a big leak in your game. Search for Daliman's HU experiment.

I think you can feel very confident in your play up to this point, but i dont like this push here. just an unreal run that dude had...i know others probably wont have too much of a problem with it, but i dont want to see him get to 2k+ this easily because if he doubles again, hes got the chip lead...even though you have a huge 7:1 chip lead, its time to start taking this fool seriously.

Meh on calling the 76 hand. It's close, I don't mind either play. But:

Bet the frigging flop. You've folded the SB twice to him, you didn't raise preflop, this is exactly the sort of flop that may have hit you.

Since you didn't, CHECKRAISE the flop to like 1200-1400 total. He's going to be hard pressed to call you even with a 7, he only bet half the pot and this is a scary board.

I definitely think aggression is required in this hand. Think about the situation, not the fact that you have 8 high.
