Erm... I'm clearly the only one on this thread who thinks this is a marginal FOLD... My reason being I have way to often seen fish call with AQ/KQ in these positions to make it profitable to raise all in, and face a coin flip, not to mention the potential to run into QQ/KK or AA. With the blinds at 50/100 you have an ubelievable amount of play in your chips with over 2k, and to potential throw this away on a coin flip I think is a poor decision, so early in the tournament.

Of course if you want to try and accumulate some chips quickly rather than plod along like I normally do, then you could move in, but I personally would fold. There are too many hands that could beat you.

I don't agree with the guy that said raise, it's a a clear push or fold... If I'm playing the hand I'd put all my chips in, cos there much more likely to fold AQ and KQ and possibly QQ, and 900 is a tough spot to be in, tho clearly not impossible to get out of.

Sorry, misread the chip stacks... My thoughts still stand, I think it's a fold, but a very marginal one.

Put your opponents on a range of hands and calculate your odds if one or both call. I think you're too afraid of a big hand. It could happen but you can easily be up against many hands you are a HUGE favorite.

A 4x raise and call in front of you so you fold JJ? Did I misread that? I don't see anything wrong with just call and I could see a push too, there is a lot of money in the pot already.

What would be your plan if you just called?

Depends on the flop and action.
I'm not ready to give my opponents credit for a better hand by that action preflop though.

If you call, you need to have a plan on how to play the flop. Under what conditions will you bet if the SB checks, call if the SB bets, flop a set, flop an overpair, flop a middle pair. You can't just call and go into the flop without giving some thought as to how you'll play the hand.

I wouldn't call... It's to large a part of your stack to have to fold to almost any Q K or A on the flop IMO

I'd fold simply because I think based on the blinds and chip stacks, it's too early to get too committed to JJ. I'm not saying a push is wrong, just not the play I'd go with. I'm probably just too used to getting called by fish with KQ who suck a Q on the river
