Default Should I fold here?

This is an early hand from a $20+2 two table tournament. I have no reads on anyone. I hesitated to call because it was such a high raise but my thinking was he has JJ or QQ and is afraid to lose so if I flop a pair I'm good. I didn't like calling thought because if I didn't flop a pair I had to fold. I feel my action after the flop was fine as I not only had TPTK but a draw to the nut flush. Thoughtson this preflop?

Don't call, just move back over the top. No reason to raise & then call for 1/3 of your stack here if your read is QQ,JJ at best. I only fold unless I have notes or a good read that he's gonna have KK or AA.

Yupz. If you think the best he's got is a pair, he's going to have hand that you dominate enough of the time.

If I re-raise myself I am committing both of us to the flop. Why not call and fold if I don't connect on the flop? I'll still have 630 chips and the blinds are low. Why risk my tournament play this early? Unless you think he might fold but given the amount he raised I doubt he will. I feel I can outplay most players at this level so I prefer not to get all in this early. Maybe this is a weakness of mine.

We aren't suggesting a pot-commiting reraise to 500 or something, just push. If you're up against a pair 22-QQ you want to see the whole board, not checkfold on a whiffed flop. Edit: given his likely range here, you will be coinflipping a lot and dominating/dominated only occasionally, given the odds you are getting you have to take the coinflips.
