A Little Big Bluff
Early in a partypoker 10+1 tourney, 2453 entrants (I finished 756th, oh well). Blinds in the 2nd level.
I have around 900 in my stack, the SB has 600 and the LP has around 1400. LP limps, SB completes and I check with A8. Flop comes 567. I make a half pot bet, and the LP calls making the pot 120 and the SB makes a pot sized raise. I had seen him do this several times with hands that totally missed the flop or flush draws/open enders and the like. I put him on a bluff or maybe a low pair trying to stop all the draws out there. I will up the courage and put him all in for another 550ish. Do you agree with this play? In the end both of them called and the LP and I checked it down. LP shows J6 and the SB shows Q6 for two pair (q on the river). I think the LP especially made a ridiculous call. 20 min later I doubled up with aces and was back in the game. |
