Default HU against a tough, thinking player.

Hand from today's 2+2 table. Guy on Tilt is the Button. What do I have? What do you think he has? We've gotten to be fairly aggressive with one another, but we're both playing well.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with XX.

This is tough.
I'll go with 77 for hero. I think you have to at least have a pair, but nothing on the board looks like a match for your possible hands.

Guy has KQs

My first guess would be an overpair for you, although I wouldn't agree with attempting a limp-reraise from the SB when the blinds are the only players left (unless you're absolutely sure the BB will raise you). So I'll say medium PP (88-TT) because I don't think you would check-raise the river as a bluff with a suited connector like KQs.

I think the villain is holding 2 high suited cards... something like AK/AQ/KQ; possibly AJ/KJ/QJ but I don't think a tough, thinking player would just call a flop with that holding. Maybe he thought he could steal the pot with that when you showed weakness on the turn and river.

I'm not good at this but I'll take a shot. I think you have AJo. You're not afraid of giving a free card on the turn to AQo or AKo and want to try to induce a bet on the river.

I suck at this. I am going to guess you have AJo and he has a pair of 4's. You didn't want to scare him off on the turn so you checked... maybe even going for a check/raise. The river you are trying to pound him. Now pound me for being a moron.

I think you have AJ and GoT has an overpair and 3-bets you on the river.
