Re: Laptop Four tabling - Requirements?
[ QUOTE ]
I'm considering this purchase as well - since I think my desktop could be in trouble. I didn't even know laptops came in 1600X1200. Any specific recommendations on actual brands/models? Any reason to go with a desktop instead, besides price? I have a NEC flat screen 17", but not 1600 x 1200 rez. Maybe I should sell it and get a hi rez monitor. What's the optimal setup for 4 tabling? [/ QUOTE ] I don't have a laptop so I can't recommend anything. Price and screen size would be the advantages of PC for me. You aren't going to get 19" or 20" screens w/ your laptop. I do zero gaming so performance/video card upgrades are not an issue. There is also the multi-monitor issue, but I guess you can do that with a laptop as well. If you aren't dead set on LCD, I got a Samsung 19" flat CRT about a year ago for $200 and it does 1600x1200 w/ great quality. Only thing is that these (or equivalent) seem to be very hard to find now, since everyone is selling LCDs. |
