Default NL 6-max flopped bottom set, do you make the laydown?

Did I misplay this? Re-raise was to prevent him from drawing out on hands like QJ and J10

Lay it down or call the flop and fold the turn to a large turn bet if the board doesn't pair?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

UTG ($1920.75)
MP ($1775.5)
Hero ($1679)
Button ($165)
SB ($980)
BB ($1301)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $5.
UTG calls $10, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $40</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, UTG calls $30.

Flop: ($95) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $90</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $180</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $325</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $800</font>, Hero ??

I think so. Even if you're ahead, you're not that ahead(draws). I think the one hand you could beat right now is JT, and that's not a sure enough win to consider the call.

Lay it down, and cry about it. That's my plan.

you bet-3bet him and he raised you big again anyway. so he either has you crushed with a bigger set (if he would limp 99/JJ utg 6-handed), has you moderately crushed with the q10 straight, is behind with top-two against your 'possible overpair', or realizes he isnt folding his J10 to your overpair.

would suck getting 1k more in the pot drawing thin. i dont have time to calculate your equity against that range of hands, but i think the decision is relatively close and may lean towards a fold.

but i do know the decision to continue or not needs to be made now on the flop.

Any reads? I wouldn't put Villain on JT unless he knows you will fold an overpair and is trying to give the impression of a made hand. With the scary board I would think J9 would push a bit harder.

Seems to me like he is not too worried about JJ and is perfectly pricing you out of drawing for your FH with QT. On the other hand he could have 99, which is worse for you. I would lay it down.
