Default against a steal?

this is not my usual play but I learned it from this forum and gave it a shot!

My first hand in this table but I know villain from history. He is LAG.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
2 folds, Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.25 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

River: (7.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.25 BB

How laggy is he? If I felt I could safely fold to a 3 bet I would c/r the turn. Otherwise I like a river lead. He could have a lot of smaller pairs or strong As that he'll pay off with.

I just used to check/call all the way because if you knew my luck, you know they will have better pair UNLESS I have TP. (so why call? I don't know) It is pretty amazing but thats the way it goes in my family. We were not there when luck was distributed.

(don't calculate the math for me because it won't work in me I guess I am the only one who has lost about 10 coin flips in a row!)

(edit: REAL coin flips, not poker hand coin flips)
