Default PLO blind defense

PLO8 MTT

Villian and I both have roughly 2400 chips, blinds 100/200.
Folded to Villian in CO who raises to 700. He could very well be on a steal. Do you defend with K Q 2 2, double suited?

Fold; you have no low draw, hitting your set could be disasterous, and your suits are a bit questionable. If you had something like AKT6 with a suit, you'd be much better off. You want to be going all high or decent two-ways.

Nope, you fold and hope that the next time he tries to steal you're holding AA23 double suited.

Thats the weak-tight fish way of playing it. Im calling here. There are no hands that are HUMONGOUS favorites against each other in 0/8, so more blind defences should be made. The fact that you suspect a steal here, makes it even more right to call. I make the call, and lead a good size amount on whatever flops.

Shut up, you're terrible. Please never offer advice again on this forum for plo8.

"You have nothing, I call, what do you have? Pair of threes? I have Deuces, you win, you're SO lucky!"

Yes, yes he was lucky. He was lucky some moron decided a pair of deuces and no low was a great hand in plo8.

HE ISN'T STEALING IF HE IS RAISING A BETTER HAND THAN THE ONE YOU HAVE.

Thanks Ribbo, I couldn't have said it better myself.

KQ22 double suited is not the type of hand to call a $600 raise with, even if you're certain that he's "stealing" the BB. If he is making a habit of stealing your blind, and you suspect he's doing it with nothing more often than not, you just need need to be patient and wait for a hand you can defend with and make a pot-sized bet.

That seems like a serious amount of chips to put in play for a hand with no low potential and easy second-best potential.

Pick a better spot.
