UTG limps,MP limps,Button limps,SB folds,i check

FLOP:[A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
i checked here, usually id bet, which is better? i think i checked to see what would happen
UTG bets,MP calls, button calls,i call,

right is there a standard for this kind of situation which comes uo so much?
since there was no pfr, should i have bet? i think i should have

If you aren't leading the flop, this seems like the best line. The turn c/r folds too many hands you beat, and an ace isn't folding.

once you check this hand on the flop, you give up all rights to raise it without improving to beat a pair of aces.
However, if you bet the flop, then you have to keep betting until you are raised.
These are two plans for this hand.
You can do exactly what you did, unless there is a lot of action. UTG betting is not the best thing. UTG is the likeliest to have a small ace. But, without read, you cannot give anyone credit for an ace.
You can also lead the flop, and if you are raised by UTG, you will have a very tough decision to make. If you are not raised, you will have to keep betting unless board turns very scary.
This hand makes accurate reads very valuable, and it often comes up.

I fold the turn. I'd have to have a read on him to believe he's betting a Q into the field on the turn.
