One more reason why Dutch Boyd is a toolbox
This is a quote from his blog (I really hoped this was sarcastic but it's not):
"I stumbled across an article today on Netscape which says that a scientific study has shown that you win more if you wear the color red. Here's the article. I guess from now I'm wearing red all the time... every edge counts." check it out here

Actually I read the same article...was a study of olympic wrestling matches where they wear either red or blue, and red was winning more. There's tons to dislike Dutch about...but this?

not that i like dutch boyd or anything...
but Tiger Woods wears red on the last day of a tourny because it's an intimidating color. it was advice from michael jordan. Or something to that effect... Now somebody write an atricle that you win more if you gimme your chips, and say "remember when i ripped a bunch of people off?"

Why is this so absurd to you? Its a fact that different colors have a subconscious impact on people. Red may be a more intimidating color. I'm not going to believe this simply because it is in Dutch's blog, but its not that far-fetched to me.

In a Webdesign course I took in highschool they taught us not to use red backgrounds b/c they make people angry subconsciously and they will not browse your site on average as long as they would a site with a diff background color.
