Default 78s flops a strong draw against a big stack

This situation happened in a home game that took place today.

The villian in question has been playing very aggresivly - a lot of raising preflop with marginal hands, stealing blinds, what not.
Villian-button, T18000
Hero-BB, 9000
Hero has 7h,8h
Blinds 200-400
Villian Raises 1000, SB folds, hero calls.
flop-Jh Ts 3h
hero checks, villian bets 2500, hero pushes.

given villian's wide range of hands, should i be folding this preflop, or if not, betting the flop? I dont think i can call this flop.

Jeff

looks fine to me. You have 12 outs, and you have to figure there is a good chance he will fold.

A call would have been terrible. I like the push.

12 outs getting just over 1:1 for the push... a bit close? I was surprisd no one discussed folding on the flop.

How many players were left? How many chips do the other players have? What's the payout structure?

EV on the push looks pretty marginal, if it's a mistake it's not a large one. I like it for the image play. Sends a nice message to the big stack to leave you alone.

Do you think your push can get him to lay down any hands?

Pot is 3,000 pre flop (if he really raised 1,000 and not to 1,000).
Pot is 5,500 before your push, 13,100 after. He has to put in another 5,100 to call. Pretty darn good pot odds at that point and he'll still have a little over 20x BB if he loses the hand. He'll have to have total garbage to not call your all in. Push or fold but you have to assume you have nearly zero FE here. Your preflop call has put you in a testy spot.
