Why not play the NL25, a $1 pot that sees the flop counts.

50NL clears it uber fast. As long as it goes to flop you're good for a raked hand. 25NL has been extremely tight and you're lucky to get 1/4 hands raked.

Not meaning to be argumenative, but I have NOT found this to be the case. Prior to the "split" the percentage raked was averaging about 72% (50,000 hands from 9/1 to 10/7). Since the "split" the percentage has dropped to about 65% (at least from what I have experienced in about 5000 hands). There does seem to be waves where several hands in a row will not rake, but this is usually followed by several raked hands back-to-back.

It appears that when a "hyper aggressive" insists on betting pot or more preflop constantly, the table folds more often resulting in a non-raked series. There aren't as many "you can't raise me out" players as there used to be, so modest preflop raises seem to be more effective in getting money in the pot and getting a raked hand. Once the hand will rake, it is a different story.

I was trying to clear my TIFFANY bonus on EB last night and it was tight, I'm hoping that this Empire bonus might loosen things up a bit.
The full tables at 2-4 & 3-6 are still looser than Crypto.

What are you referring to when you say "split"?

Thanks in advance

After seeing how tight the tables have been, I think I'll throw in the minimum $50 deposit instead of the full amount. Less painful!

I'm getting about $3.5/hr/table at 25NL with the new requirements.

Ugh, I wish I had deposited $50 instead of $100. This sucks.

While the average pot size is certainly smaller than it was before this past weekend; the bonus-clearing situation is not bad at all.

This morning, playing 4 Empire tables of NL/PL25 for 4 hours, I cleared 474 raked hands. My average for 4 hours before last weekend was about 500 raked hands. So, assuming it takes about 8.5 hours total, that comes to $11.76/hr in addition to winnings.

On the subject of winnings, yesterday morning I spent my 4 hours clearing the Party bonus (10-tabling)--made about $100 in winnings (in addition to the bonus). During my 4 hours this morning I 12-tabled skins for 4 hours to make $38 profit (in addition to bonuses). This isn't much of a sample, but it seems about right since the average pot on Party is about 2x-3x the average pot on skins.

My point--it's certainly worthwhile for a small-timer like me to clear the Empire, Euro, and Multi bonuses while I'm waiting for the dust to settle at Party.

The bonus would probably clear faster at 1/2. Even at toe IGM skins, a reasonable player should be +EV there, especially at .5/1 and 1/2. It will be a rock garden, but rocks can be beaten.

The games might not be super soft anymore, but come on! Don't be a wuss. I mean it's bonus clearing for crying out loud.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!
