Hold Em (Pre-Flop Theory) What Hands Dominate 2 Randoms???
My question is simple. I know what hands are a favorite against a random hand. What are the favorites against two random hands?
For instance head's up any pair, any Ace, any King, Q6 or better, J9s and JTs are all favorites. How does the presence of a 3rd player restrict this further? I'm really just looking to fine tune my short-handed, short-stacked play in tournaments. |

Are you looking for hands that are 50% or better against two random hands, or just 33% or better?

Actually both would be of interest.

Download pokerstove and experiment with that for awhile. It's got the "random hand" equity calculator you'll need to crunch the numbers.

It doesnt take long to get a rough approximation.
Run each type of hand through the generator against 1 random and 2 randoms. Multiply the probability of them winning by the respective pay they would get in that pot, supposing 1 opponent and 2. |

I already have a table of each hand vs. a random hand. Running a given hand against two random hands seems to take a long time to process.
P.S. One hand that I believe is a favorite heads up and a dog three-handed is 22. |
