Default First experience with a San Francisco nit

A joyless prick sat at our $10-20 table at Resorts (formerly Harrah's) East Chicago last week. Late fifties, way too loose before the flop, he's an alleged regular high limit player from S.F. A few pearls he cast before the swine:

"Nobody can overcome a $5 rake. You'd have to be an idiot to play here regularly. I don't care who you are."

"Sure, I've played with Tommy Angelo a million times. I'm not sure he's even beating the games though. He might be."

"I play $80-160, that should tell you something."

and the best:

"As soon as I get win my $150 back, I'm outta here."

There were a lot more but I've gotta split.

I've played with Tommy Angelo less than a million times and I'm sure he's beating the game.

Didn't get a name. He was too irritating, but he kind of stood out since we have a relatively low nit-quotient in Chicago. 58-ish, avg. build, grey hair, Jewish.

I've been out of the loop for a while, but, given the usual suspects, I'm pretty sure there are a few regulars who fit the bill. Few would be a loss.

It couldn't be me. I would never assume nor hope that I'd ever get my 150 bucks back in any poker game. Likely an incognito Diablo.
