fold preflop, bet/raise the flop, bet/raise the turn, don't tell us that you lost.

you played to win the least bets and lose the most. anyone who would eventually draw to a good hand will be calling bets along the way. seriously, i wouldn't be surprised if the entire field called a bet on this flop.

Fold this pre-flop and kick yourself for doing it after seeing that.

Bet/raise Flop and turn. They may guess you have a 5 or a 3, but not both.

Sadly, you most likely would have been drawn out by the villian anyway, unless he was REALLY scared of you having the 5 and folded to your turn bet.

You did give him the river card for free.

i'm assuming you were gonna check/raise the turn, which may have knocked out the tens, but probably not. i wouldn't have given the free card there, but you want someone to stick around for a flush.

probably very little you could have done

he doesn't want it to knock out the tens. he has a full house and the tens have 2 outs to beat him.

also, "you want someone to stick around for a flush." i agree, but THEY WILL CALL BETS to stick around. all you do by giving free cards is win nothing while they're drawing. then if they don't hit and you come alive on the river, they fold. if they hit on the river and you come alive, so do they - but you still missed bets on earlier streets.

"probably very little that you could have done" so? who cares that in this hand a guy happened to have TT? the point is that over time, slowplaying this type of hand is bad, betting is good, and yes, sometimes you will get outdrawn. the point is to get bets from anyone who will pay to outdraw you and to get bets from those players willing to call bets when they are nearly drawing dead.
