id say it was a pretty good move. im thinking villain has big slick. but since you posted here im guessing you lost the hand

I like the push here, especially at those stakes, the only way you're behind is if he's on a set, and it's much more likely that he's raising the top pair or the flush draw, in which case you're way ahead...

I did get called and, as you say, lost the hand.

However, I was actually ahead as he called with a flush draw. It's not much more than a coin-flip and it seems he did have borderline odds to call.

However, I wasn't asking it as a bad beat post. was more interested to see if I would get replies in the form of "In most cases ou will only get called by better hands" etc.

In general, I was wondering if a flat call and a push of the turn would have been the recommended course.

Of course, in this case, since he called me when i was ahead, it turns out that I was right.

However, in the long run, is pushing here +EV?
