Over the last 2 months if I fold Q-Q or higher pocket pairs pre-flop and I fold all flopped trips, and I fold all flopped straights I would have over 300 more BB in my bankroll. I didn't include flopped 2 pair (should be profitable) to keep some sanity. 300 BBs is a full Bankroll!

I hate to be the one who brings this up, but things for you have gotten deadly serious -

You must consider a sacrifice to the poker gods - I am not sure which animal you can part with but this is the only surefire way I can see for you to get out of this quagmire...

I would choose the animal who last messed in the house....

Thomastem,

What was the deal? I must have missed it? You didn't give up future EV for the grudge match did you?

That deal is between me and the poker gods. Because of my level of play and the unbelievable amount of luck I needed to stay alive more than 10 minutes in that tourney I am going to be paying for years.

Switching sites (I went to UltimateBet), I'm amazed at how many people fold to a preflop raise or a bet on the flop. I'm winning again, but winning small. I'm also able to try many more tricky moves that I would never get away with at Party where they just call call call.

I do miss the callers paying me off, but I don't miss the drawouts.

Try switching. For a week. Your bad luck fans won't be able to follow you.

Default Keep Hammering

I've had two 200bb losing streaks this year. I play a couple of hours most nights and probably work in another 8 hours on the weekends. I play 5-10 through 2-4, and sometimes play 10-20 if I see a couple of known losers. In my losing streaks, I probably should have dodged 30 of the big bet losses, but in the long run, it was simply the long run.

If we play long enough, Mason's math and experience says this will happen. You are now another disciple of Mason's wisdom.

Dropping in limits is what I did, too. I don't ever want to look at my stack size before a make a play. While playing limit poker, stack size is irrelevant to the proper decision. If I should fold, I must fold. If I should 3-bet, I need to toss the chips in.

When I was losing, I was getting hammered on the rivers, too. My favorites were losing with AK to Ax when the x fell time and again. In the second streak, I knew I was failing to connect on my flush draws, so I started keeping track. I hit only 1 of next 20 draws, and this was after I knew I wasn't getting my fair share. Toss in a set-over-set battle where he rivers quads, mix in some extra flush hits against you, stir in an ample supply of perfect-perfect, and you have yourself a real losing streak.

Keep playing as you know the game needs to be played. If you know you are a winning player, and I believe you are as I have read many of your posts, you will soon be cashing checks once again. Drop in limits, don't go broke, and you will soon be dragging the chips as the long-run odds demand.

Don't change your game, but do keep looking for improvements. The best play is still the best play. If your opponents want to keep calling your bets because you are running bad, keep slamming them. Just as the last deal doesn't matter, losing last week has no impact on AK with an A in the flop.

PS Deer season is right around the corner for most of us. Thigh bones and fat are a nice offering to the poker gods, and they are cheap during deer season. Make a call to your local meat markets now before the price goes up.
