Default Game Selection

I really like the thread on seat selection, and I hope there are more to come. Here is a quick one about game selection.

I have started playing more of the 10/20 recently, and I notice that almost all of the tables I open up have a ton of 30-25/20-25 players in them. I usually can find at least a few with 40+ or even 50+ VPIPers, but when I can't I am unsure of which tables to try to sit in.

Do you prefer:

a table with 4 LAGs and one really bad player (maybe 65/7/.8), assuming you can get the seat to his left or at least 2 to the left

or

a table with 3 LAGs, and two decently bad players (40/10/1), assuming that when you are on the button, neither of these players is in the blinds.

I would give more reads, but when I table select, I just open up a ton of tables and go by the numbers. Assume all LAGs are the same here.

Default Re: Game Selection

I'll play down to 5/10 rather than play at a bad table. I also try to find the most passive tables I can. A 30/14/.4 is easier to deal with than a 30/14/1.5 as his bets are easier to interpret.

If I can find a table with a couple of these mouse types, a couple 40VPIP types and a semi-LAG, I'm good.

Generally I go by table VPIP, but weigh in post flop aggression before sitting down.
