Default WSOP on Pokerstars

[ QUOTE ]
I do hope to win several seats on PS, since it's essentially the same as winning $10,000 cash for each one.

The above quote is from a post by Fossilman earlier. From it I've gleaned that you can win Shootouts on Pokerstars and redeem them for cash, as opposed to HAVING to go to the WSOP. Is this true?

If you win a second package, you'll get $10,000 W$ and the $1000 cash that they give as a travel expense. Not exactly the same as all cash.

Once you've already won your seat, any other seats you win can be redeemed for the value.
So, say Greg wins his WSOP seat in a satellite and the following week wins another one...that's $10,000 plus the spending money in his pocket.

Since pokerstars is already covering Greg's buy-in, any seat he wins would convert to cash.

Just him, or anybody? Basically, if I win a WSOP seat on Pokestars, then win another one the next day, can I cash in the second one for 10K?

I think you would cash in the 10k plus the trip expense. The first one you have to keep though. Since Greg is fronted on all tourneys as a paid representative for PokerStars, they cover his "first" buy-in already.

Greg posted before that he has a certain annual "budget" from Pstars which he can use any way he likes. So it still makes sense for him to try and win in cheaper as it will stretch the budget to other tournies.

PokerStars WSOP FAQ

There are a lot of wrong answers in this thread...I'd advise reading the FAQ.
