He played the hand with 88 pretty well,

Unless, of course, his opponent had top pair. Right?

I don't know why you'd hurl a sarcastic zing at me like that.

You could look at it two ways:

1) He saw right through his opponent and got him to lay down a weak hand.
2) He was firing into the pot recklessly praying that his opponent would fold, thinking that he were beat.

None of us know exactly what he was thinking. So don't be mean.

i liked pretty much all the players and thought they all played well. i think that michael guy put on a clinic, at least in the hands that they showed. the 88 vs 55 hand was absolutely sick. it was a very good episode IMO.

I guess I'm the only one that thought Adam was awesome.

Good episode overall. They managed to show a lot of hands.

Oh stop. I don't mean to insult the kid. But he played this hand awful. He may be a good player or he may not. But if we're judging this hand and the other against the kids kq they were 2 of the worst played hands i've seen in awhile.

And weak tight players wouldn't have checkraised the flop with 88's. So either he's weak tight with a monster or he's not weak tight(meaning Michael) so the play is clearly wrong in this spot. To reraise the flop after getting checkraised then betting the turn is way overplaying this hand. Not to mention reraising the hand preflop in the first place. Although that is not necessarily horrible in these conditions probably overplaying and should let the other chip leader battle with the short stacks. Or call and try to flop a set. I like calling to try and hit a set and get a big pot. And if missing the set unless a favorable low flop(one overcard or less thats not an ace or k) or straight draw just muck the hand. It wouldn't have cost him much and he would still be the chip leader. But wopuld have gave him a chance to win a big pot had he hit his set.

It was the Michael and adam suckout show for the first half until adam's luck ran out. What about that hand with the 102 against davids Aq heart lol. Ok i didnt see that on the first time i watch because i started watching late. But that makes the 3 most horrible hands played i've seen.

Michael just got luckier and continued to suckout to victory.
