how can 8 people play 7 card stud?

Well that's how they do it. And, if everyone stays into the river...there's a community card--meaning everyone shares the same card for 7th street. It's rare but I've seen it happen.

I absolutely ABHOR the Four-Color deck. Blech. Don't really know why, but I hate it.

Glad you posted this - I have never actually seen it before and was beginning to think the community card was some sort of poker urban legend
