Favourite Movie and/or DVD: This is so agonizing it's paralyzing. Usually I would have listed a Hitchcock here, but I'll drop him for some random reason and pick The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. This one slams me in the heart that anyone could have possibly made it, and that that anyone wasn't me. It was almost disgusting how surprised and relieved I was at OOT agreeing that this was the best western of all time. I have been moved deeply almost every time I have seen this film, and all the more so, as I studied it more deeply. My love for this film just does not seem to be wearing off.

Favourite TV show: Green Acres. As crazy a show, while still being incredibly good and filled with unbelievable talent, as has ever been.

Favourite CD: Remain in Light, by the Talking Heads

Favourite music track: honestly cannot decide. Something between Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel, Rolling Stones, and the Beatles, but it varies day by day

Favourite book: Journey to the End of the Night, by Celine(not DIon)

Favourite way to waste time: I'm here, aren't I?

Favourite time of day: 9 p.m. Full of energy, food is in me, work is done, still plenty of time to go.

Punchline to favourite joke: The verdict is: Death! Byyyyyyyyyy bugaboo!

Favourite moment in your whole life: Screw your rules -- a woman's legs collapsing out from under her as I kiss her because she's so lost in the moment; and running through typhoon winds at top speed without even moving in the most terrifying storm of my life as a kid and the whole universe tearing apart and seeming to exist as the palpable and terrifying and completely explosive breath of God.

Favourite dog (fill in what you like):

Haole, the most beautiful dog I've ever seen and an incredibly beautiful spirit, and he was mine. A white shepherd, robust and strong, and named for the Hawaiian word for stranger, which was usually only applied to white guys, and in a disparaging way. Shouting for my dog Haole while jogging on the beach in Hawaii would usually be the kind of word that would serve as a battle cry among the viciously prejudiced and violent locals, or look like some totally insane suicidal white guy running through a deadly gauntlet encouraging everyone to kick the crap out of him, but it was such a bizarre thing to see a white guy shouting "Haole!" that it stunned even the most hateful people stiff, and when they saw that it was some white dude calling his white dog, they busted up laughing time and again and just couldn't muster the desire to hate anymore while they were going from confusion and anger to inevitably cracking up. I loved that dang dog like crazy, and he had such a great spirit and didn't do anything but love me back. I'll miss him till the day I die. I'm not sure he wouldn't have made a better master than I did.
