Default AK UI on flop play along

No reads, just sat. First time playing $1/$2 in a while (severely underbankrolled) but I thought I'd take a shot.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: (7 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB 3-bets</font>, Hero...

Ok, I read him for an overpair, no clue which one. Whats my line here, is folding too weak?

cap preflop. given your play this is a definite flop call getting 12:1 with bdsd, bdfd, and two overs.

I don't see what the flop raise really accomplishes here. I don't mind taking this hand to showdown UI, but I'm just not liking the flop raise.

I cap pre-flop, call flop, reevaluate on turn

You raise UTG, then get 3-bet by the sb. So maybe he is isolating you, but out of position? Then 3-bet again on the flop. He doesn't have AK diamonds since you have the King. Reasonable range? AA, KK, QQ, maybe JJ or AQ suited after the flop. I know AA and KK are a little less likely due to the fact OP has AK. I call this, as I don't like to raise, fold on the flop. UI, definitely folding the turn. If you hit on turn, I think I call down, even if its just for the info.

Call..... don't show people you will raise and then fold on the same round, especially on the flop. You never know, the overpair might be JJ or QQ, so you never know. Remember to count your outs half an out for each over card plus backdoor flush possiblity so about 4.5 outs, getting 12 tp 1 this call is automatic. Plus you have position.

Yeah like most people are saying, cap PF, makes it diff to play, if he bets out on the flop, call and reevaluate on turn, if he checks the flop then definately bet.

odd.

hey ryan, why don't you do everyone a favor and think more before you post these one liners? sorry for singling you out, but i've seen you post quite a few responses to hands that are basically lacking any strategy whatsoever.

recent paraphrased example (this is on a 4 flush, 4 straight board after a player leads into the aggressor and another player): "I don't see any reason to fold your set of K's here."
