Party 10/20NL, missed OES&Flush draw OOP on river, correct bluff size?

So basically if he min-raises you are planning on pushing and hoping he folds. I haven't noticed people who call flop, min-raise turn to be folding the turn too often. I think if you want fequity, c/r turn is better line. Or just bet a tiny bit more on turn and push river.

i used to do this until people realized i would be betting the turn more often then checking w/a flopped monster.

To flip that, I think doing this w/a made hand would get QQ-AA to call high % of the time as this straight+flush board is somewhat unintimidating; much less than something like T-8-6-K board.

That's why I mentioned it - Or the reverse is why I mentioned it - I will often lead the flop and check the turn with a monster in a spot like this. I like it. Overpairs will often assume you are leading w 88 and that you have given up on the turn - they will bet it for you a lot of the time.

You don't think half pot on turn, overbet pot on river might strike someone as fishy? If you're going to take this line, I think you should make a bigger bet on the turn so that it is believable that you have a made hand and are worried about protecting against draws. And then the river push will be pot-sized instead of over pot-sized.

Well, I don't like Hero's turn play, but a push here, is only slightly more than pot (~10% more). I would do this with a made hand here, so that's why I would also do it with 7high. But for me this play is very player dependent. Some people (and it seems like Villain could be one of them) will call down this board, with the line, "call a reasonable river bet", and a push really puts him to the test, as it is not that reasonable. But some will call down all the way regardless, saying I have a big pair he might be bluffing, so that is why I don't do this w/o a good read.

When they bet it for you are you almost always going to put in the big check-raise right there on the turn?

I bet $750 and after a horribly long pause UTG+1 that made me feel ill he folded. In retrospect, I think 900-1k here looks more like a FH trying extract max value, I think the $750 was a touch weak.

Thanks to all those that posted, I do understand that I have a # of options on the turn, more so than usual with this particular hand since it's such a powerful draw. With fewer outs and fewer potential bluff outs or against a known more aggressive opponent, I definitely do not weak lead here, it's either CR or bet close to the pot.
