And then have rotating credit card debt to avoid the interest payments if he doesn't pay it off in the 0APR sign up period.

2 grand is plenty to make a student film. If he needs, he's either drastically under-budgeted and should re-think his project on the budget he CAN afford, or he's an idiot who will never get out of film school sucessfully.

Either way, giving him more money only exacerbates the problem.
