Looking for GOOD romantic comedies to rent...

Love Actually and Hitch were the first two that came to mind. Eternal Sunshine is less of the stereotypical Romantic Comedy, but is VERY, VERY good.

A personal favorite is "How to lose a guy in 10 days", but that might be because its the movie I went to see on my first date with my eventual wife.

People saying Love actually...it never really struck me as much of a comedy. I liked it, but comedy?

Haha. I'm loving how the Graduate is included, seeing as it's brilliant and probably on my top ten. However, despite being wickedly funny throughout, it's a little bit of a downer at the end for a date, considering it suggests that their romantic relationship is doomed or at least tainted forever.

This one might be good to watch with her mom if you want to nail her, though.

The Princess Bride might be too good of a movie to call it merely a romantic comedy, but it'd get my vote. It's one of the best movies. Period.

I'm a sucker for Meg Ryan, so I guess I'd say anything with her in it. To amend someone else's post, I'll say:

When Harry Got Mail Versus The Volcano In Seattle.

There's a bit of fantasy in these films too. There is no way in hell that Billy Crystal or Tom Hanks could score a chick like Meg Ryan. If anyone ever really had a face like a baked potato, it's one of those two.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I'll cue some in on my online rental account. I did see 10 days... and liked it. Don't think I've seen the Graduate (I'm bad with movie retention though).

I love Meg too. We go way back to her days as Betsy on ATWT.
