Almost no one would fold for an extra 4K with the pot that big. Can anyone help me out here? |

Hate the PF fold with AKs and 10BB, and would be pushing AQx UTG with ~9.5BB.
What are you waiting to play AA and KK ? |

I mean this honestly: Why did you fold the AK? Did you want to advance another spot and not get into a coinflip? Did you have the ability to repeatedly steal blinds as the first in the pot and this type of action was unusual for the table? Those would be reasons to consider, but I still think the push is appropriate with stack and blind sizes at that point. |

push both no doubt... hand 1 i dont know what you were thinking.. it was only one raise. And hand 2 your only bet size PF when you have less than 10bb's in your stack is ALL-IN.

My opponent has to show me KK or AA to make me lay down the first hand, and I *still* might call.

Re: AKs and AQo mid-late in a large MTT (Stars-$2-0)
In both hands you should be usually pushing pre-flop. Anytime I'm down to about 10x the BB, I'm pushing if I play a hand. I just don't have enough chips to make a raise and then consider folding.
In the first hand, after you flop top pair, top kicker, folding for a 2K bet into an 18K pot is just plain ludicrous! The odds are huge in your favor, and you should be getting all your money in there. In scenerio two, you've committed almost half your chips with the raise. If you're going to committ half your chips pre-flop, you might as well committ them all and give yourself a better chance of pushing another player out of the pot. Unfortunately in that spot, the pocket Kings aren't going anywhere, but you have to make a stand when you're down to 10x the BB or less, and A/Q is strong enough to do that. |
