6-max SNG\'s
I have a couple hundred dollars to clear on Stars. I haven't played there before, but have been looking at the SNG's as my target for clearance.
I've noticed that they have 6-person SNG's, which I am not too familiar with. I did a search on here and didn't find any topics covering such tournaments. Anyone have extensive knowledge on these? I would think there would be more posts about them if they were reasonably profitable. I'd assume they would lower variance, but perhaps also lower ROI? I have no clue, just curious why no one here has talked about them as they would seem to be a fairly good opportunity. |

Re: 6-max SNG\'s
I play them pretty much all the time on the Cryptologic sites and love them. I've played 600 between $40 & $60 and have a roi of 29.29%. Worst ootm streak is 13. Just can't argue with that!
Seems to me that the best player at the table has a significant advantage that isn't primarily related to his ability to shove chips in the pot. Make sure you are that person and you should be laughing. FWIW, I also had a roi of 24.54% across 1000 $20 10 player ones. My game has certainly improved significantly since then, but the games also took longer, so I certainly believe the 6 max ones are far more profitable - for me at least. |

What was your ITM number like, and what are the payout structures for 6-max SNGs? |

Re: 6-max SNG\'s
6 player ITM = 46.51%
10 player = 41.41% Maybe the numbers for the 6ers are a little higher than they will be long term, I dunno. However, I can certainly feel my advantage most of the time - the number of opportunities presented by 6 players seems high and the number of bad beats seems lower with less hands to get through. On Crypto the payout is 75%/25% ($180/$60 in a $40 game) so 2nds are pretty bad. However, it usually gets HU a lot earlier than regular SNG's so you have far more chance to actually play. |

I wonder why Party doesn't have any of these.

Re: 6-max SNG\'s
I don't know. I do know that when they got introduced on Crypto the 10 player games seriously dried up. Seems like the non-profit making players love the action.

Re: 6-max SNG\'s
Good for you!
I do also play ring games. Nothing wrong with playing lots of different styles of poker, is there? |

Re: 6-max SNG\'s
Wow, this was exactly the type of information I was looking for. I wonder how many other people are doing this.

Re: 6-max SNG\'s
Can anyone confirm the 6-max payout structure at Stars? I have some bonus to clear there, and these sound like they might be fun for a change of pace once in a while.
