Wrong. We have repeatedly pledged assistance in the case of a mainland Chinese invasion of Taiwan. And its something that is planned and wargamed for on a continual basis in the military.

Quit getting so crunked up man.

If i am correct, the US has given its word that it would help, so that is how we should respond. Was giving that pledge the correct policy in the first place? I don't know.

Default USA is Obligated By Treaty to Defend Taiwan

If a democrat is president, the president will surrender to the Chinese offerering Alaska/Hawaii/California in exchange for peace.

If a MAN is president (ie a Republican) the USA will destroy the Chinese military in 16 weeks. There won't be one Chinese ship bigger than a rowboat after 1 week. The Chinese military is WAY over-rated. After all an American recon plane with no weapons "shot down" a Chinese fighter. The Chinese claimed it as a victory since they managed to damage the recon plane and they called their fighter pilot a "hero" for getting himself killed. LOL

There's no way in hell China could secretly plan and prepare for an invasion of Taiwan without the US being fully prepared to thwart it.

There's very very little chance they would try.
