B&M Report (Harrah\'s)
My third time playing at B&M and I did pretty well. I first time I played I came down about $200; however this was when I first started playing. I didn't have much experience plus no books had been read. The second time I had a fluke night and won over $400. Tonight I played for about 4 hours and came up $150. I just have to say that these B&M games (played 3/6) are as loose as can be, at least where I played.
Most of my opponents were older, in there 50-60's and hadn't a clue how to play well or even semi-well. One thing I noticed was that no one really appreciated my raises. It was like no big thing. I mean players were cold calling with like K9o. It was crazy. Out on the 2 times that I played in the casino, (first time I'm not counting) I'd have to say that they were WAY more fishy than ANY online game I've played and at any level. Another thing I noticed was that when I play online for some reason I see way more flushes and straights and Big cards, A,K,Q. Beginning to think something is up with that. Anyway I think I'm going to start playing more B&M and ease away from online poker. |

[/ QUOTE ] You play a lot more hands online (especially if you multitable) so it may seem like they occure more often but not really. |

Re: B&M Report (Harrah\'s)
They actually do occur more often online, but only because you're playing more hands per hour on average.
The ratio is the same as the B&M, but you're seeing more of everything online, simply because you're seeing quite a few more hands per hour online. The big cards just tend to stick out more in your memory. |

[/ QUOTE ] You go on and on about how there are so many fish at Harrah's compared with online. Thus online, with better opponents, they are only playing their better holdings, and thus forming better hands. These online players arent playing garabge even close to the extent that you observe in the B&M. The previous posters' points probably perplexes people positively..., eh, i'll stop |

Answer: because the players are far worse. How many times do you see a player check raise you on the river when you have POUNDED the pot, only to show you no pair, no draw? This happens every single day 2-3 times a session for me. Or today when I flopped a set in a preflop raised pot in last position. We went 4 bets 3 ways on the flop, and the turn. I had to release on the river as I knew the initial preflop raiser had made a nut flush (runner runner), but what did maniac have? J5o for a pair of 5's. B&M's can be a gravy train for the experienced. But what is especially fun is busting 4-5 internet "hot shots" that will ONLY play NL. So we start one up for them. 75-80% leave busted with their tails between the legs. Internet is far easier to make money on becuase of the sheer volume of terrible players. But even then you can have your bad days where they crack ya hard with K9o. |

[/ QUOTE ] I don't agree with this at all... sure there are some bad players online, but nowhere near the awful, and very loose gambling type players that you'd find at a comprable level at B & M. [ QUOTE ] Why do you think so many B&M players have gone to the internet? [/ QUOTE ] Answer : B/c the games go faster, and you can multitable, playing more hands in a month than any B & M player could get in a year. |

I am beginning to belive that % wise more players online are better players. |

Re: B&M Report (Harrah\'s)
I disagree. I see far more experienced players online than I have in the few sessions that I've played at B&M. I honestly can't say that I've seen any rocks for good players at the tables I've played. However, when I play online I see 3-4 good or really good players.
