Default Sudden Downswing

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Monty is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP calls, CO raises, 1 fold, Monty 3-bets, 1 fold, MP calls, CO calls.

I just started playing 10/20 so maybe I'm over sensitive, but the fact that I'm already down 1.5 big bets over 1 quarter of a hand is ringing some alarm bells for me.

AK is a hand that I feel comfortable playing from the SB at 3/6 and 5/10 but so far during this hand it's been a huge loser for me. I know 1 street isn't a large enough sample size to draw significant conclusions but at this point I have to wonder: just variance or bad play?

Flop: (10 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Monty bets, MP calls, CO calls.

Normally I would say this is a very good flop for me, however, as you can see I've already dropped another .5 big bets for a grand total of -2BB per .5 hands. Time to re-evaluate my play!

Turn: (6.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Monty bets, MP folds, CO calls.

At this point I'm starting to wonder whether this downswing will ever turn around. I'm already down 400BB/100 and the hand isn't even over!

River: (8.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Monty bets, CO calls.

I'm at the end of my rope. I've tried everything, but I can't seem to stop hemorrhaging chips. I'm pretty much ready to throw in the towel. Here are my stats for this hand:

VPIP: 100
PFR: 100
WTSD: 100
W$ASD: 100

HELP!

Quit complaining. I go through these type of swings practically every day.

Suck it up and move on.

You realize that hero won the hand? And that this post is intended in an ironic fashion with respect to its title?

Yeah, I do. I was going for a little double sarcasm humor but I guess it didn't come across too well.

Oh well, c'est la vie.

Whoops! I get it now. I think it would be funnier if I wasn't so damn tired.

I chuckled at your double sarcasm reverse implied humor, if only for the use of "practically every day." vnh!
