Default Favorite Spice/Seasoning

Mine is defintely garlic. If possible, I like to chop it up and cook it a little olive oil before adding it to whatever I am making.

Others I use/like a lot are oregano, basil, rosemary, and probably cumin now that I know that is what it is called.

Let's here yours, hopefully I will pick up some good ideas to try.

Sea salt as opposed to regular iodized salt. Makes all the difference in the world.

The answer should be garlic hands down.
After that, cayenne and cumin are good but i cook lots of spicy food.

You can eat old tires with enough garlic and salt.

Adding salt to food is disgusting.

Szechuan peppercorns, not only because they're good, but because they're so different from anything I had ever experienced before.
