Default 1-table $5 SNGs--where to go next?

What's the next logical step--$5 MTTs or 1-table $11 SNGs??

Thanks in advance.

If you're trying to get better, 1-table $11s.

If you're trying to make more money, 2-table $6s.

But if you're also trying to make money, go to the $11s asap, because its the same rake there, with the same sort of competition (trust me they're not any better).

I tend to agree with this...don't let competition difficulty be part of your decision. If it's any better you don't notice it much.

Because of the rake I'd take the plan of going to the $11s and then multitabling from there.

stick with sngs, the sequence is not 5 sngs, 5 mtts, 11 sngs, 11 mtts, they are really unrelated as far as progression as far as I'm concerned.

If you are really interested in trying out both one table and multi table tournaments, I recomend the 18,27,45 person tournaments at stars. These tournaments require the skills of both mtts and sngs and are easily beatable if you can beat the one table 5's.

yes, but also play the 18, 27, and 45 player SNGs. like an early poster said, you get both SNG and MTT skills in these. to simply 1-table the 11s or two table the 6s won't get you any MTT experience [if you're trying to gain some]. i play the $1.20 45s, $5.50 18s, $1.75 Turbo 18s, and when i can, the 375 FPP 36 player sats and the 500 FPP 27 player sats. sometimes, these sats give the oppurtunity to go up against some of the better players [mine was HOLLINGOL, (10/20 and 5/10 NL cash games].

Go straight to the bank and get your $$ in crisp $1 bills....throw up in the air laughing and yelling maniacally.....rinse, repeat every hour or so for a week.

Then play the $11s.
