Default $109s - AK Hand

Bet river and if so how much? My image is terrible, I've been terrorizing these guys pre-flop, so his range is actually quite wide on the PF RR. Also, anyone bet the turn for 1/3 pot with plans to bet the river for 1/3? I don't think I get two fullish bets out of any non-ace hand so its either bet small on both turn and river or check behind on turn and bet riv for 1/2-2/3 or so. I like the latter but I'll take arguments for the former as well.

Terrorizing them preflop on level 1? You're an animal.

Sure I'd bet like 350 on the turn. Maybe your image is bad enough that he'll try to c/r you with Ax, KK, etc. I assume you think you're good here, so yeah. 1/3 turn 1/3 river sounds good to me, and hopefully he raises you.

Looks like a middle pair (99-JJ) shutting down and looking to see a SD cheap. I'd probably bet 1/2-3/4ths pot. I definitely like the turn check.

Yeah, that's weird.

I love the turn check. Half pot the river. I'm sure you don't need me to explain my logic, it's the same as yours.

The reason why you check the turn is to induce a bluff on the river. When he doesn't bite, you don't necessarily have to change your whole plan and start figuring out how much value you can get. If you wanted value, the time was on one of the earlier streets.

You've decided to let him maintain the betting impetus and hang himself to whatever degree he wishes. I think that's a great idea considering the situation you've built for yourself here very early in this SNG.

You have plenty of chips and you are about to get 400 more. Really, the decision on the river (based on your play up until this point) is whether or not you want to show this hand down. I will often make river bets simply to avoid showing my hand, but you have explained a scenario where you may want to show a big hand that you've played passively. If your image is already one of a terrorist, it wouldn't hurt to show an AK here that you played passively throughout.

I'm not saying that image should dictate play to any significant extent in a SNG... but this is a relatively rare dynamic you have set up. Sitting on 2400 chips in level 1 of a 109 with a confusing, aggressive but tricky image is probably worth about $30-$40 in real money... maybe even more.

I would (gasp) check behind on the river.

why not just bet the river, and if he folds, show your cards?
