There's a reason why many people travel many hours to get there and why many of us don't mind the 1 hour to get there...

Go.

I was in Foxwoods last week. I thought the games were good, it was a wed. night too so the action may be even better on the weekends. The rake wasn't too bad 4 dollar max in 20/40 and it sure beats the hell out of the time charge in AC when you have slow dealers and the floor taking every chance they can to bring your game to a crawl. Especially on the days when you are getting cold cards.

I didn't know AC rooms charged for time, which ones?
I've played at Trop, Bally's and Borgata, no time charge. Dealers speed deal to try and get as many hands in.

I played at Foxwoods once, waited on a saturday for about2 hours to get on a 2/4 Limit game. I remember the little light they have hanging on the wall near the cage which lights up every 30 minutes i think, which means dealers have to take the time charge from the pot.

AC charges rake below 10-20 (10% to 4 max). 10-20 and above is time charged instead of rake at Borg/Taj, etc. Bigger NL games are also, not sure on those.

10-20: 5 per half
15-30: 6
20-40: 7
40-80: 8
80-160: 10

40-80 and above are usually time pots.

all the above about the woods is false

the below is true (i play alot)

limit hold 'em
2-4
5-10
10-20
20-40
also you can put up a list for o8 hoe s8 he from 2-4 - 100-200 - whatever

all limit games are raked per blinds

1-2 (100 max) 5 every half hour, no rake(when the light turns on)
2-4 300-500 buy in 6 every half hour (when the light turns on)
5-5 500 min 8 every half (when the light turns on)
you can start a list for 5-10 or more on request and the time is usually 10 every half hour(when the light turns on)

the light has nothing to do with the rake only no limit time

also stud game are 1-3 no ante 1bringin
1-5 .50 ante 1 bringin
5-10
10-20
20-40
75-150

omaha8
2-4
5-10
75-150 all raked like limit
