good threads for new NL-player?
Any good bookmark-threads one should read before trying micro(low)limit NL?
Yesterday played my first session 0.05/0.1 blinds NL. It was kind of fun. First I lost my $10 buy-in when all-in pf with QQ against AKs but then doubled it when slowplayed trip aces. But in general I had no idea what I was doing! I guess I was too loose. Is it OK to be loose in a low limit passive game because of the implied odds you are getting OR should I stick with the good hands that are easy to play postfl when learning? And one basci question: how much is the standard bet/raise? I know that if I am first one in, I should raise about 3-4*BB but what if someone has raised 3*BB and I have rerasiing hand, should I raise about the pot size or? I am talking about the standard reraise amount, of course things depends... And what about the flop if someone bets for example half the pot and I have very good hand and want to raise. How much is the typical raise, about the pot again or? or are these questions you can't answer without knowing more about your opponents / your hand etc. |

Try reading the FAQ sticky in this forum. Also, the Micro Forum might be a better spot for your questions 2+2 Micro Forum [/ QUOTE ] Problem with that is that forum is a Micro-Limit forum. You will likely just get referred back here to SSNLHE forum. |
