Anyone been watching this show "bound for glory" on espn tuesday nights after the WSOP? Its a pretty nice little show with good ole Dick Butkus as the head coach of a high school football team. Comments?

watching it right now, was funny with Butkus cussing at the other coach.
Personally, that team looks weak. I play Texas highschool football, I'm 6'4 270, and they seem small. I guess highschool football just isn't as big in other states as it is in Texas

I saw the first episode, looked but, but haven't had TV hooked up since then.

I played high school football in Texas at a 4A school. At 5' 11", 190, I was a guard, and one of the bigger linemen on the team. Figure that one out.

h.s. football is HUGE in SouthWestern PA.... but it is a little bit of a down year. The first game Montour (team he is coaching) played was just down the road from me.. guess they got a pretty good crowd

You were one of the bigger guys? I guess football has grown a lot more. I'm not even the biggest guy on the team.
5'11 and 190 lbs. is a DB or small linebacker here now

Now there is a lightning/rain delay. They are going to finish the game the next day. Gives Montour a little time to regroup, interesting little twist there

My buddy's kid is 6'8 and 295 as a sophomore. He's one of three offensive lineman on the team over 275. Kids are just huge these days.

I have a friend who was 6'7 and 315 as a sophomore. He never played football. Go figure.
