Default Re: A5s Limp to hit 2 Pair on Flop

There is a guy playing 5/10 ring named Ajax___. Guess it isn't you. I would never limp with Axs after just one limper. I used to do that, and I found that it cost me because one of two things would happen.

A: Raised behind me.
B: Everyone folds to the BB who checks. Then the BB or the limper bets at the flop (I am last to act here), and I have to fold most of the time because I miss and the pot is tiny.

I don't mind the raises behind me that much - I think as far as hands which can be played for 2 bets, Axs is a pretty decent one (I obviously won't call two cold, but I don't mind calling a raise behind me with it).

As for getting bet into, I will often play right back at the guy betting into me if I think it's worth it - and I've found a little bit of aggression goes a long way in preventing people from betting into you post flop.

I just think cutting out Axs is a pretty bad decision - and I think most people who are playing Small Stakes still consider it pretty big +EV to continue to limp with these.
