anything other than checking this river is just bad. and how did a9 play his hand bad, a few limpers and he calls a9, how is that horrible? and, you need to get off the crack to believe you are folding out diamonds with your bet.

Yet, he DID fold out a diamond, at least according to the guy who folded the a9. Pot is gigantic. Getting a baby or mid flush to fold even 10 percent of the time turns this into an extremely valuable play. I'm just glad I didn't play this hand because the other guy with AK would have probably pushed me off my hand with the river raise. Note to self: Don't fold after betting in gigantic pots

He puts you on AK/AA, wonder what happens if you 3-bet this river.

He doesnt checkraise and fold for one more bet.

His checkraise did exactly what it was supposed to.

And my point about the guy with A9 is that he's checking top pair on the flop and just calling, then calling a bet from the guy who's first to act, and then calling my raise, like he thinks A9 is good.

These guys play a round of omaha, and a round of hold'em.

I brought up O8B, and they said that they used to play it every other other round, but since they dont have a dealer (we deal the games ourselves) no one is qualified enough to chop the pots. They also said that the pots were often in excess of 5,000, so they figured it would be better to just play high.Lol.

Then he would have value-bluff bet, and then bluff 3bet in the same hand

Of course you are the one knowing the game, but this seems like a stupid assumtion. It is pretty obvious that a c/r doesn't come from a big diamond and the only feasable boat hand would be KK (but he didn't raise preflop). I would say that you fold an 8 or a small diamond enough times (>5%) to make this profitable.

Edit: Take into account that you have bet and raised every street and oppenents like this will often put you on AA (unless you make stupid playes all the time - hmmm).
