Re: Questionable turn play with QJ
[ QUOTE ]
He may have a K but would a K be likely to 3 bet a turn c/r when there's 2 queens on board? [/ QUOTE ] Without a read the answer is no. [ QUOTE ] Given the read the OP just gave, even if he didn't see or use it at the time I think is even more reason to call down [/ QUOTE ] Agree. With this read calling down is best by far. Without a read I'm still capping. We only need to be ahead 50% and I'm pretty sure we are. [ QUOTE ] The only limping hand for the villain that we are ahead of that would reasonably contain a Q is QTs. [/ QUOTE ] Without a read I think it would be a major error to narrow our opponents limping hands this much. |

Re: Questionable turn play with QJ
This sure looks like spewing to me. What hand do you think he would have that he would raise the flop, bet the turn and 3-bet a check-raise. I would've called the 3-bet and c/c the river. But I also agree you should be betting this turn in the first place.

[ QUOTE ] Flop: (4 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets, BB calls, UTG+1 raises, MP1 folds, Hero calls, BB calls. I consider my bet on the flop pretty standard. [/ QUOTE ] Can you expand? I usually check this. If someone's got a K I count 6ish outs, and I'd get 5 or 6: 1, which seems a bit thin. What am I missing? [/ QUOTE ] The part where you said If someone's got a king Sarge[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] |
