Default Comps in AC?

Hey y'all

Anyone have any knowledge of the comps offered to poker players at the various AC casino/hotels?

Following that, where would be the best place to spend a couple days in AC? Obviously the games are great at the Borg, but the comps suck. Do the better comp deals at other hotels make up for the potentially less soft-numerous games?

Or should I just stay at the cheapest hotel and play 6/12 or 10/20 at the Borg?

Thanks

Jeremy

i dont think the comps suck at the borg at all. Ive stayed at ballys and the trop and it seems the borgatas are much better. you can get a room at the borg for $39.00 if you play 8 hours(mon.-thurs) and a flat rate of $125.00 or $149.00 (i think) during the weekend. and the rooms are the excellent.

How does this work? Do you tell them when you book the room that you plan to play X many hours and they give you a discount and charge you more if you fail to play that long? Or do you pay the regular rate and after you've played 8 hours they give you a rebate?

Thanks

you must book well in advance. only a certain amount at those rates. it is more of a rebate. you book it for the reg. price , and you can get the poker room manager to call the front desk for you. remember to make sure you use your borgata card when playing and swipe out when done.

10/20 rates suck everywhere, but if you want to stay at the Borgata you can take advantage of the poker room rate. I'm not sure what it is at Borgata, but it is usually something like 6 hours of play for a reduced room rate.

At 10-20 or higher, both the Taj and Borgata give $2/hr. I'm pretty sure 5-10 at the Taj is $1/hr; not sure about below that.

The Borgata poker rate is easier to get than the Taj poker rate. If you have a card, just call reservations and ask for a room at the poker rate. I don't know what "better comp deals" you are talking about.

AC comps are much better than Vegas, where poker players basically get nothing.

The only places you'll regularly find 5-10/6-12 or 10-20 are the Taj and the Borgata. I don't think there is that much difference in game quality.

i dont think you need to book a special room to get the rate. im pretty sure if you have a room booked, you can show up in the poker room and play your 4-8 hours, whatever it is, and then ask the manager to adjust your rate. also, you have to reserve a regular room, they arent giving discounts for penthouse suites.
i could be wrong about everything though you can just call the poker room and ask a couple questions to be sure

I THINK they (the Borgata) have a maximun number of rooms per day that can recieve the poker room rate. At least that's the impression that I was given when I spoke to the poker. If that's the case, it'll be luck of the draw if you can get your rate reduced.
