Clarkmeister\'s sort of...
Well, I am new here and read a little about clarkmeister's theorem. I know it has more to do with the river and with flushes, but this situation seems pretty similar. I have seen the villian put alot of bets into pots only to fold later in the hand, so I felt I could push him off any two overs.
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 5 folds, MP3 raises, 2 folds, Hero calls, 1 fold. Flop: (5 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, MP3 raises, Hero calls. Turn: (4.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, MP3 folds. Final Pot: 5.50 BB So rate the play, is this a use of clarkmeister's or some other weird twoplustwo theorem? |

Re: Clarkmeister\'s sort of...
This isn't a theorem. Nice bluff, though. I need a read to make a play like that.

Re: Clarkmeister\'s sort of...

Re: Clarkmeister\'s sort of...
To show strength and/or isolate the open raiser? Or do you 3-bet this in most cases?

Re: Clarkmeister\'s sort of...
More I think about it I agree with re-raising pre-flop. I have problems with putting alot of money in before the flop out of position though. I think I am misplaying my blinds, probably playing to tight, and definately not aggressive enough.
Not to get off topic but is it a mistake to call a middle position raiser with 3 callers in the big blind with T7o? |
