Default Wynn 8/16 QQ

MP is a LAG and borderline maniac; I think that he hates me as when I cracked his J7o with a flopped set of 3s he seemed to go on tilt and bitterly said "good for you pretty boy." SB is tight, solid and ABC.

My image is tight, aggressive and I'm up a fuckton and I'm showing down solid starting hands.

Preflop: I am BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
MP calls, SB completes, I raise, they call.

Flop: (6.00 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, I bet, MP raises, SB instantly calls, I 3-bet, MP 4-bets, SB instantly calls, I cap, MP calls, SB calls.

Turn: (10.50 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, I reach for eight chips and see MP reaching for sixteen chips so I....

To be continued.

I no likey cap. I don't see the value in it. Aiiyahh!

Turn - check and let him bet the hand for you. He knows you don't have a piece of the straight since you raised preflop and is trying his hardest to push you off the hand (either that or he's got it already). SB is a dangerous variable, open ended straight draw or a made set? But MP may have a hand such as 2 pair, Not pretty...

I do not think you should have capped the flop. While you may be ahead in the hand, you can not be sure, and the bet will not find out if you are. You are not forcing draws to pay anything significant in relation to their pot odds either, they are getting the odds. What were you trying to accomplish with the cap?

What has MP being opening with PF when folded to? What will he limp with?

Are you including the fact that the SB is instantly calling, because you think it is more likely he is on a draw, rather then a made hand?

Its not an easy situation. I would like to charge the SB a double bet if possible, if you think he drawing to the straight, but that maybe over aggresive in a seemingly marginal siutation. Maybe check, MP bets, SB calls you call. If SB raises fold. River, in most situations check, MP bets, if SB calls fold, if SB folds call.

Pots so big that betting so the LAG can raise it for you may not protect your hand from the SB... or would it?

Well SB looks like he has the OESD so we can make him pay 2 or 3 or 7 bets to see the river.

If SB is tight solid and ABC then he either has a set or is drawing to the straight after calling all those flop bets, in which case, he isn't folding no matter what happens on the turn. I would check and let this maniac bitch bet.

But him calling won't be a mistake and we're putting more money in the pot when we may already be behind to the quasi-maniac.

Clearly the answer is to check-raise.
