why no description of players in hand 2?
don't like flop check in hand 2, could you elaborate your thoughts? |

Re: KK w/ an A. twice. 100-200
The flop check is fine. This is a situation where he's either way behind or pretty far ahead. If someone has an ace, he's saving money by not betting out. If no one has anything, a bet would just fold them, but checking may induce a bluff on later rounds.

a check may cause you to lose the hand when he catches two pair on the turn. the pot is worth a bet everytime

If the opponent has an ace, he's already behind. If he doesn't, he can't fall behind to two pair on the turn.

Hand 2, I think I'd check behind on the river. Is this shorthanded? Would BB call with a jack?

Re: KK w/ an A. twice. 100-200
KK often becomes trash in a multiway raised pot. however, i think you need to be more aggressive post flop. on the 1st hand i consider betting the flop, i certainly bet the turn. if i am beat i am beat, the A flopped and no one had shown any power.
the 2nd hand is tougher. post flop when the raiser checks i probably bet it out, if i am called i need to reconsider the players, the hands i have seen from them, etc. as i said when i opened this post, KK is often trash in a multi hand raised pot. but sometimes it is best. knowing when to proceed and when to dump it is hard. sitting at the table you need to know the opponents, (do they play any ace, etc.), and go with your knowledge of the players and your observations of that hand's play. |

Please don't ever refer to my 2nd favorite starting hand as such again |
