OK, been trying to read through most of the posts. I've come to this conclusion.

Fact: Dead said the Yankees would sweep.
Fact: The Yankees didn't sweep.
Fact: Someone mentioned last night's game as proof that the Sox have terrible pitching. (The score was 8-6)

Fact: They didn't give up 17.

[/ QUOTE ]

Fact: The Yankees started a minor leaguer last night with a season era of 9.10

Fact: Giving up 17 while 5 of the 5 pitchers had been minor leaguers at one time this season is bad, but not that bad.

Fact: We have 5 pitchers on the disabled list, and we still kicked your ass today.

Weaver was not going to be successful in New York. Some guys have ERAs way worse in New York than they do anywhere else (Kenny Rogers, T. Mulholland, Weaver, Vazquez, etc. etc.).

[/ QUOTE ]

well neither has brown.....who would you prefer on the roster today?

[/ QUOTE ]

Brown, no question about it.

BWHAWHAHAHAHAA

ortiz with the error, i was just wondering when he was going to botch one.

and giambi with the opposite field bunt... i love it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Giambi > Ortiz defensively. Giambi is nothing special but now I see why they don't play big fatty at 1st more often.

Giambi has been much better lately, even better than Tino. He's more comfortable throwing the ball to second and receive the throw to get two than I've ever seen him before.

I think Giambi should have started at 1st today and Ruben should have DH'ed.

Check out the batting averages of the top 6 Yankees in the batting order:

Jeter - .304
Cano-.301
Sheffield - .308
Rodriguez - .315
Matsui - .309
Giambi - .283

The rookie is hitting over .300 and Giambi is hitting .444 this month.

Pwned.
